This house was such a fun project to work on! This was a new build I designed with Right Angle Construction on a lot in Athens. The investors on this project had a few things they wanted to house to have in order to line up with the price point and size of the home, but for the most part, they gave me free reign to create a cohesive design.
This house features board and batten siding, metal roofing and a mahogany front door on the exterior. The interior has a grand open floor plan from the entry with a flow from the living, dining and kitchen. The style I used for this home is modern farmhouse with hints of classic, traditional elements. I used white paint throughout the home but softened the trim with a slightly darker tone to add subtle contrast. Some of my favorite features are the white oak hardwood floors and open beams to set the kitchen apart from the living and dining areas. I used warm brass tones, black metal accents and the warm wood tones all to compliment each other and give this home a simple but cozy feel.
